How we keep this current
The biggest problem with health directories is out-of-date information — a wrong number when someone finally reaches out. We treat freshness as a feature, not an afterthought. Here’s exactly how.

How every listing is checked
- Each listing is confirmed against official sources — gov.nl.ca, NL Health Services, 211 NL, and the organization's own site.
- Every listing carries a last-verified date, so you can judge how current it is.
- Anything we could only source from a description, not a live public number, is clearly flagged as needing confirmation.
- Crisis and high-traffic numbers are checked most often.
- Anyone can flag an out-of-date listing directly from its page — and we act on it.
What we list — and what we don't
We list free and low-cost public and community mental health, addictions, and crisis services in Newfoundland and Labrador, with crisis and urgent supports prioritized. We include a service when we can confirm it exists and reach it.
Listing a service is not an endorsement, and we don’t take payment to list or rank anything. If a program closes or changes, we remove or update it. This is an independent project — not affiliated with the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador or NL Health Services.
